Help me out?
I'm sure you all know that I really want to be able to sell t-shirts and stuff at cons, and I've posted pics of some of the designs I've already made. But I looked into some general startup costs for a single design with 10 shirts of each size, and it's going to run somewhere between $600 and $800, depending on what shirt style I choose and the number of available sizes. Now that's a LOT of money to put out all at once, and, unfortunately, sales at conventions just haven't brought in that kind of cash. I would need to save up for a couple years before I could start selling shirts, but I'd really like to share my art with everyone now.
So now you're wondering "What does that have to do with me?" Well, it's pretty simple. I've started a GoFundMe project to help with the startup costs involved with t-shirt sales. If you have money to donate, that would be great, but if you don't have money, please spread the word. There is a shareable pic on the facebook page here and once all of the money is raised, a winner will be chosen from those who shared the post. The winner will receive the t-shirt in their choice of size, and if enough money is made to get another design printed, they will receive that shirt as well.
Anyone who donates will receive a gift based on the amount they donate. All of that info is listed on the donation page, so I won't go into detail on it here.
So who's with me? Help me share my art on t-shirts! ^-^
Fundraiser is here.
And here are some possible t-shirt designs!

After Another Long Break...
Okay, so I still don't update very often, but I do have a few things to talk about just because. Most of them aren't business-related though.
First, I went to Youmacon in Detroit with some friends a few weeks ago. It was a last-minute thing because their fourth roommate bailed on them, even though he said he would give them money for stuff whether or not he ended up going. So they asked me to come and I went. I had a lot of fun, though I think I would've really loved it if I'd gotten a table in Artist Alley.
I got there around 7:30 Friday night and we didn't do a whole lot after that. We wandered just a little bit, but I wasn't feeling the best, so my friend and I decided to head to bed around 10 while the boys wandered off and had their own fun for the night. Saturday I dressed up as Mokona from Magic Knight Rayearth/xxxHolic/Tsubasa Chronicles and people seemed to like it, though not many recognized the character. There were only a few people that I could actually take pics with, so when I found them I did.
This is the only full body pic I have of the costume, and the girl on the left is Sakura from Tsubasa Chronicles. I'm not sure about the one on the right though. After wandering around in heels all day, my feet were pretty sore, so we headed up to the hotel room to relax for a bit before getting ready for the Rave. We went around selling glowsticks to people and it was a lot of fun. Here's what I wore for the rave:
It was a lot of fun, even though I'm not much for dancing. On Sunday we packed everything up to head home and went down to the dealer's room for some last-minute purchases. I brought $30 worth of snacks home to share with my boyfriend. lol The snacks are way over-priced, but it's hard to resist when you can't find them anywhere but cons.
Since I'm going to be in the Artist Alley at Shutocon and they are doing a couple contests, I decided to put something together for their t-shirt contest. I think it turned out pretty cool.
It's only their second year and one of the requirements was to have their mascot, so I did a second birthday theme. Cute, huh? If I win I'll get my table for free, so that would be really cool. They said there hasn't been a lot of entries, so I'm really hoping to win. That would mean I'd only be paying for gas!
On Monday last week I also got my Konad Nail Art Kit in the mail. It showed up on Saturday, but I didn't have the chance to pick it up till Monday. And I didn't get to test it out until just a couple days ago. I painted my nails pink on Friday and tested out the konad Saturday night. It turned out pretty good...till I put the topcoat on. Then it smeared a bit, but most of my nails aren't too bad. Guess that's what I get for buying a cheap topcoat though...haha I looked up some tips to keep it from smearing though, so I'll be testing it again soon.
In some other news, it's getting pretty close to the end of the semester. I have a midterm due this week for my online class and the rest of my classes are just.....well, boring. Once the semester is over I should have a bit of time to work on art stuff before the winter semester begins, so you can be looking forward to *hopefully* more posts in mid-December.
Until then, happy crafting and happy Thanksgiving if I don't post again before!

Update: Maneki Neko!!
Hello everyone! I feel kinda crazy because I already have an update to make, but here goes....
I've been pretty bored at work so far this morning. I'm building files, but it's nothing more than a couple clicks then sit and wait till the machine's done with what it's doing. So with having so much wait time, I decided to remake my maneki neko design!! I think this one is a lot cuter than the original and will do well as a t-shirt. I'd like to get some opinions on it though, so let me know what you think.

He is on my facebook page here too: Maneki Neko!!
Aside from that, I'll be putting together some more cyberlox with a friend this afternoon and I'll be working on the needle-felting commission I have. I may even end up making something more while I'm sitting here bored at work too. Guess we'll see on that one. I just wish I had my tablet here to play with instead of only using illustrator. Ah, well. I can use it at home, I just don't like using it with gimp. I want my photoshop back at home!! The only version I have that I could install I believe is too old to work with a tablet. Maybe not though. But it may be too old for Windows 7... ^_^;;;
I will probably have another update later tonight or tomorrow with some of the cyberlox stuff. And my friend will be helping me model them too, so you won't be having to stare at just me for all the pics. I'll also be picking up a couple packages from my mom this afternoon (one is stuff I ordered for a friend, one is mine), so I may update with some info about that. It's the new wigs I ordered from Gothic Lolita Wigs. Oh, and everyone should buy some stuff from me so I can keep paying for my new wig hobby...haha.
Once I get them home I'll have four wigs from them, and if you have five, you can get your own muse album to showcase how you wear their wigs. I have almost all of their wigs on my wishlist, so it'll take me a long time to get them all. Oh, and one of the ones I'll be picking up this afternoon was a freebie too, cuz they're really nice like that.
I'll also be ordering some stuff from BodyLine once I have some money. I've got a set of stuff to order, but it'll be $137 to get it, so it'll take some saving up. Of course, $42 of that is just shipping, but that's what happens when you order stuff from Japan.
Alright, I'm sure everyone's getting bored with my senseless babbling now, so I'll leave this here for now.
Happy Friday!!
